With all the hype on the Core i7 iMac, the i5 is barely getting any love; so I decided to create this thread on All Things Core i5 iMac!

Here, you can discuss anything i5: Speed tests, unboxings, comparisons, problems, reviews etc...

I recently got my Apple i5 iMac and I could NOT be happier. I have posted a great unboxing video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ky6tqciTIy4

I'm going to be posting more videos on the Core i5 iMac including reviews, comparisons with the 24" and much more. SUBSCRIBE to my youtube channel called GadgetAddicted to get notified when these videos are posted: http://www.youtube.com/user/GadgetAddicted

So far, the ONLY problem I have is ONE dead/stuck pixel close to the center of the screen. Due to the high resolution, the pixel seems minuscule and hard to notice.

Please post your experiences, problems, reviews, rants, pictures, praises and anything that comes to your mind in this thread!

Do we really need a 29th thread on the subject?

I would tend to the affirmative. Almost every thread is overtaken with i7 information making it hard to find any useful information about the i5.

Yeah. I've ordered the i5 based Quad Core iMac. ;)

I remember being bitten in the rear end by Hyperthreading in the past. So I'm very pleased Apple offers the i5 Quad Core

Nice! I was considering going to the i7 after the testbench results but I think i might stick with the i5.

NCIX sold me faulty memory and caused major kernel panics on my iMac lol. Any dead pixel issues with yours??

Over two full minutes into the painfully slow video and all I've seen is a keyboard. I hope your promised review and comparison videos are somewhat livelier!
