I ordered the trail in black. It seems like its the most likely use case for me (running). However, its the one that has delivery dates a month behind the others.

I wanted a trail one as well - but couldn’t wait as my current Apple Watch barely holds any battery now

Same here... I don't mind waiting, i could get a color I don't like, but then it won't be as much fun for me.

Q:

Are Alpine and Trail bands suitable for water?
Both were made to withstand rough weather (snow, rain), but I think that means they won't fall apart of stay soaked for long if you run into either of those. They're clearly not meant to be worn underwater like the ocean or sports bands. I'm not saying they'd be ruined, but the chlorine of a pool or the salt of sea water might not be good for them.

Any word on whether it can use normal Apple watch bands? I've never had a cloth or silicone/rubber band that didn't cause a rash when wet. The Ultra is the first apple watch that actually seems close to worth taking the plunge, but I can't use a watch without a metal band.

Just watched a YouTube where the guy was putting old bands on it. DC Rainmaker's channel I believe.

I like the Ocean, but thought it was going to be black. Still ordered that one, but annoyed it’s midnight.

Wondering if the ocean strap is too thick for small wrists. I know the trail loop is the thinnest, but from videos it looks like the alpine is thicker than the ocean strap. Kinda confused. Any thoughts?

I just ordered the Ocean Band for my S7 SBTi. The lug colour wouldn’t match my case colour so I’ll have to see how it looks in person.

I like both Trail bands the best but did not want to delay my watch so I settled for the green Alpine. I doubt I will use it as I plan on putting my Apple leather link band on it from my current SBTi series 7. i Ordered two Trail bands but they won’t arrive till November. I might cancel them depending on how my magnetite leather loop band works.
