Am I the only one here who think this, and almost all renders of unannounced Apple products, are pure and utter garbage? If that is what Apple were to actually release everyone would be complaining about the design, but some jack-off stretches a mac mini in photoshop and suddenly he is a prophet.

thanks everybody for the jokes ?

Let's get serious again.
I feel like Miani got baited since he desperately wants to believe there's going to be more to an event where the headliners are the ***** iPhone SE and iPad Air.

Not to deny the existence of this product, but it would feel odd for them to drop it when events like these are usually more uh... "consumer friendly" I suppose.

Feels like MACBOOK PRO CONFIRMED AT WWDC21 happening all over again.
The Mac Studio and the Studio Display WON'T debut at this Apple event! **
... and here's why:

I think it's likely the Studio will be unveiled tomorrow. The updated Intel Mac Pro and Pro Display XDR will be the products Apple will want to show off at WWDC.

Nope, you're not alone. Look at what some company/random bunch of 3D modellers did with the 'Apple Car'. Not one single one appears to have any clue about industrial design, or what drives Apple designs - the Apple design language, if you will.
I mean, the single most notable thing in that Mac Mini render is the vents on the bottom. There is simply no way they would design a product that looks like that! They would expend ridiculous amounts of time, money and effort to not have those visible! Well, I guess we'll know if and when we see it.

Yes, there will be another Intel Mac Pro before they'll fad it out.
And I doubt stark Apple is going to present center stage their (last) Intel Update at WWDC'22.

// probably my english is grammatically wrong, Sorry //

I was ready to go with an M1 Mini (from my MacPro5,1), but warned off by trouble powering multiple hi res screens. (Not an issue for my 2008 displays, but... future proofing...)

This could be a game changer... but - somehow I just don't think it's real. Unless it really is the start of Apple really turning a new leaf with expandability / upgrades etc.

That article says there won’t be room for the Mac Studio because Apple is releasing a new “MacBook Air or even the possible reveal of Apple's AR/VR headset” tomorrow…..

No way we are getting a new Macbook Air tomorrow, so I have a hard time following that article.

There seem to be two main thoughts 1) Apple announces Mac Studio tomorrow, Mac Pro at WWDC, and then M2 this fall OR 2) Apple releases M2 tomorrow, Mac Studio and Mac Pro at WWDC and M2 Pro this fall.

I see the merits to both arguments…..and honestly I would be equally as happy for a redesigned MacBook Air as a Mac Studio, so I am happy either way, but that TechRadar article just sounds way out of touch with all supply chain rumors.

... but I am NOT so sure about the Display part of it.
When will Apple finally release an affordable Display?

Someone on 9to5mac raised the idea that "Studio Mac" sounds a lot like the Surface Studio from Micro$oft. Not long ago I had a conversation with a Marketing Genius familiar with besaid product and I was puzzled at what one could do with it. But Apple is also working on this topic - they call it Universal Control.

and "Peek performance" has to do with some visual aspects ...

So let's combine my random observations;
If Apple is to unveil a new Mac Studio they will need a Display that has excellent moulti touch capabilities -better than what M$ is able to produce- and which does 100% support Universal Control ...

cuda:
This #AppleEvent will be epic.

// Sorry Leute, ich bin überfordert meine Ideen in klarem Englisch zu formulieren.
// I am not good a writing. I should stick with podcasting in Swiss German. ;-)

I hope that they do something different with the case design, otherwise, it will be seen as just a beefy Mac Mini. People will then expect it to be cheap and not as high performance as a Mac Pro.

It's not about the details. They are NOT an Apple topics blog so they probably get a few details completly wrong. But the meta thoughts that tomorrow will be "consumer" centric and NOT about very expensive products or Gear for Pro users is compelling to me.

I'm hoping for scenario #2 because I'm impatient, but as long as a M2 Mac Mini comes out sometime, anytime this year, redesign or not, then I'm good. Fix that bluetooth, though.

That is fair. Seems like Mar. and Sep. are usually consumer items while WWDC and Oct/Nov are more Pro oriented.

That said, things are weird with Covid/supply chain issues, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up doing some weird mixing.

I may buy a $3k Mac Studio. I've been trying to order a 64gb M1 Max Pro 16". Then I realize, I use my computers tethered at home. WFH. Makes more sense to get more compute considering I am no longer mobile.

64GB, 1TB is my sweet spot.

For a single M1 Max, $3K might be doable, and that would be my sweet spot as well, unless the dual M1 Max is decently priced. :) More ssd would be nice too, but 1TB would be okay.

I estimate base model Mac Studio at $1499, I then use the base 14" MBP configurator to derive pricing, just spec as wanted then subtract $500...

M! Max Mac Studio (assuming full-die with 32-core GPU) with 64GB RAM & 1TB SSD should run $3199, add another $100 for 10Gb Ethernet...
