Allow YouTube app to play in background

Hi,
At one time, YouTube app on my iPhone 7 plus was playing in the background.

I lost that feature after i restored the phone and couldn't figure out how to get it back.

Any tips will be greatly appreciated

Log back in. Think it's a "YouTube Red" feature?

If you have YouTube red, just log back in on the app. If you're using a third party app, most of their functionalities were limited.

Or just open YouTube in Safari launch video, press power button and from lock screen you might start it again.

Check this topic and my response there. I think Apple had to implement a change which caused that this no longer works in Safari. There are alternatives though.

AFAIK, you have two options:

1. YouTube Red
2. Download a YouTube player/client like Tubex or ProTube.
