Almost just bought a Apple Watch Ultra 2

Currently got a 7 but want an Ultra - I have been trying to stop myself buying one as the new one is out in a month and prices will drop but could of just bought a (2nd hand but unopened) Ultra 2 for 429 pounds so feel like I should have gone for it....

If the watch was new, you should have gotten it. 429 pounds is a great price. I am not expecting much difference at all between the Ultra 2 and the Ultra 3.

Yeah I think it was if I’m honest but hey ho currently 1s with 95-100 battery life are selling in pristine nick for around 390 so in a month there should be some reduction …..

Exactly. Huge doorbusters on Apple Watch deals are worth a shot. The super deal for getting a stainless steel Apple Watch Series 6 for a reasonable price of around $245, the same price as an Apple Watch SE, went out of stock within weeks! Glad I got it when it came in the spring, in Walmart.

You can find one on eBay for an open box or new one. I checked Walmart and there are no markdowns on Apple Watch Ultra on either generation.

Be careful there is fake Apple Watch Ultras, bought one a 40 min drive away few weeks ago, looked real checked serial no etc, found out they use real serial no's, got it home wouldn't pair, drove back and got my cash back.
Found this below, realised mine had same serial no in the comments.

Yep, i got scammed back in April with a fake Ultra. Tried to save a few bucks by buying on marketplace. It was supposed to be brand new in box. Everything looked legit, he had the store receipt from Apple for the original purchase and everything. Learned my lesson the hard way. I then waited until Prime day to pick up a brand new one. I waited for the sale to try and offset some of what I lost on the fake. I still have the fake and its amazing how accurate they look.

Oh wow... I think I'll dig it out of the drawer I threw it in and take it apart and see what it looks like inside and if it has a hidden camera. Some people have told me to just sell it to the next sucker... but I just can't bring myself to do that to someone. I'd rather take it out of circulation.

I would wait too. Always at least see the latest before buying. Plus tech prices on honest product seldom fall then rise, so beware of super bargains.

P.S. I do love the AW Ultra v1, and look forward to seeing the AW Ultra v3.

Check it very closely. The fake one would not have an iPhone camera remote and use the hidden camera instead if it has one from the Digital Crown.

And they need the Apple Watch Ultra 3 to have smaller cases that can fit 41mm bands… instead of offering smaller bands only.

Keeping an eye on 2nd hand prices but why would anyone buy a used ultra this week or next when the price will drop a lot after the next keynote in September !
