I work at target and Friday it was raining so much. I had to help move a bunch of stuff in the parking lot and I got soaked. My phone got the message this acessory is not optimized for this iPhone. I had no sound in my phone and couldnt turn it up or down. Luckily I cleaned out the power connector area and it started to work.

I'm sure this happens to people a lot. iPhones are not waterproof. That is for sure.

We have a lot of drizzle so I bought plugs for both the dock connector and the headphone jack. Since I use earbuds I lovingly refer to the last one as a "bud plug".

I can relate. On a hike today, I had my iPhone in my shorts front pocket, using Motion X to gps the trail. A log foot bridge had washed out, so I waded across small rapids. With the current and rocky bottom, the going was slow and wobbly. The water was deeper (and colder) than I expected, going to my waist a couple of times. I pulled the phone out of my pocket just as I started to go too deep in a hole. It was slightly wetted; I think the tight fitting case saved it. Fortunately, everything is working. A ziplock bag will become standard for my hikes from now on.

The Snack Size Ziploc bags are a perfect fit! I always have one in the car for when I know I'll be outside and it looks rainy.

This will really pay off when the cops try to charge you with dealing drugs because they found baggies in your car :)

Thats happens incredibly often, because everyone with small plastic bags is a drug dealer.

No kidding. Do both speakers still work?

I use an iLoc Phone Case for this. It's perfect for these situations.

Rats. I guess this means I better take out those snack-sized baggies of sugar that I like to transport.
