i didn’t participate many days but i feel like this has probably run it’s course. 🤷🏼‍♀️ but if some people feel strongly we can definitely start over.

summer is hard for me to go through archives but i’ll have more time starting next week.

Starting over from A to Z would likely bring similar pictures.

In reality, using the alphabet provides more variety of subjects than numbers. For example (if using numbers), I could post photos of sled dogs starting with one dog, then dog teams starting with 2 dogs and ending with 16 dogs (usually the largest dog team). It means that eventually, if using numbers, I would have to post an entire kennel full of dogs. If using people in number, then I would have to post a photo of a crowd of people, and we already know how difficult it is to count a great number of people in a crowd.

But lest say that I use the letter "D" for today's photo: in this case there are a great number of "single" (or various) subjects such as dog, donut, dart, dam, dairy, domino, etc.

It doesn't matter how many photos of dogs are posted this day as long as the subject matches the letter D.

You mean like I did. The bowl with 4 bananas. Then "Oh, lets take another staged picture adding back the two apples I took out and call it 6 fruit. 😀

I'd say let's call this the end of the line all the way around.....especially since the OP didn't even bother to hang around to participate in her own suggested thread. Coming up with alphabet letters for each subject each day is sure a lot easier than coming up with numbers but even so, it can be a bit challenging and if someone doesn't have time to rummage through their archives or to shoot a new image specifically, it is just easier to sit out the particular day's concept altogether.

How about calling it, "Fruits" instead (not using the number)? In this case you can post one photo of any fruit. It does not matter if more than one photo of the same fruit is posted that day. For example, the subject banana should be posted under the alphabet letter B of the day. But the photo with a "Fruits" title should be posted under the alphabet letter F for the day. The number makes no difference.

~Just keep in mind that I didn't start this thread. I just think that using the alphabet as the OP intended is more interesting than numbers.

When I proposed the numbers, as an extend to the alphabet and looking for a new idea, I had indeed in mind objects translating the number (fi the dominos or the arms of the starfish, as posted by stillcrazyman; the cabochon posted by deep diver; etc.) in a single object, rather than x similar objects.
There have been some outstanding contributions been posted.

As for the (alphabet) game, I share the position to end it.
