Anyone else finding that their alpine band is stretching? Mines at least two, maybe three notches bigger than when I first got it.

One more reason the jury's still out on the band. I like the look, but it's awkward to take on and off (price of it never coming loose on its own I guess). Nice thing is that it dries quick when wet, and won't scratch stuff like metal, or collect sweat like leather. Definitely not a fan of plastic or rubber.

but if it continues to stretch that could be a deal breaker...

I fear these Alpine bands will absorb human oils, look dirty and won’t be able to be successfully be cleaned to look like new. $99 for maybe 6 months of use?

Luckily, it’s simple to select another ”notch” if it stretches, unlike a Braided Loop.

Speaking of stretch, I like that the soft and comfortable fabric has a bit of stretch (like lazy pants) but mine hasn’t stretched permanently. I also haven’t gotten my Alpine band wet yet.

Like others, I selected the Alpine because it was available, but it wasn’t my first choice. I didn’t even open it for a few days, as I was convinced I wouldn’t like it. But now I’m very fond of it and hoping the fabric holds up for a while.

Not even sure how the material in this band would stretch, and certainly not to the extent of two are three notches in length. It has almost zero elasticity to it.

Saw a pic of an orange alpine loop on the net that looked like a dirty traffic cone.

If you are afraid of stretching then get another strap. It is fabric after all and fabric stretches or shrinks over its lifetime. Look at your clothes!

My Alpine band has quite a bit of stretch. It's not very noticeable when worn, but if I take it off and pull the ends, it easily stretches.
