Alpine integration kit = no workie

Unfortunately it simply says "searching" and never comes up.

Don't bother buying this for just your iPhone.

(fortunately I've used mine for 2 yrs on my pods so I had it laying around to test)

It's weird how somethings work with iPhone and others don't. I bought an integration kit for my Mazda RX-8 in December of 05' to use with my 5th Generation iPod. It hooks up to the factory stereo and acts like a cd changer so I can change tracks, pause, play, all while the iPod was in the glovebox. Even my steering wheel controls worked great. When I got the iPhone I read about a lot of integration kits not working so I had little faith when I first tried it. Turns out it worked perfectly (well I have to ignore the airplane mode pop-up). It still switches tracks, pauses when I turn the radio off, etc.
