Already subscribing to Apple TV - now have 1 year free - cancel current sub?

I am currently paying for Apple TV plus. I now have a new phone and getting Apple TV plus for a year free.

Should I cancel my current sub or will accepting 1 year free stop my payments coming out?

My last payment was July 19th.

I think you'll need to contact Apple Support to find out if that's possible. I believe someone else asked that in another thread and found out it's not.

I rang them today, they advised to accept the 1 year free. I have done this and now won’t get billed until next August. Hope that helps others with same question.

Recently switched to Vodafone broadband and received a 4K Apple TV, which came with a 12 month subscription. Didn't have any problems using the subscription service on my existing apple account. The offer is still on here: https://www.fasterbroadband.co.uk/broadband-reviews/vodafone

Starting a free 1 year simply deferred the existing subscription next due date.
