Found this on Amazon for $55. No reviews or questions, looks like a very recent item.

Any thoughts/experiences with this? Not only do I save on the Apple charger ($79) it also comes with the necessary cable that would add another $30-40 bucks in the Apple case.

Apple makes really, really good chargers.

Just spend the extra $20 instead of buying some POS off-brand charger. Why risk catching your house on fire or damaging your $2500+ MacBook!?

You can get a 87 watt charger that's a known thing and super reliable for 35 bucks.

I'd rather go with that. You can have the 100w one that comes with it if you are doing like a 24 hour long super maxed out usage, but let's be honest if you're NEEDING to do that kinda work you're foolish for not getting an imac instead.

The 87 will charge the 16" macbook pro plenty fast AND sustain it during all but the most prolonged fully maxed out situations.

I carry a 60 W charger with me and have used to charge my 16". Also used same charger with the my 15". As long as you not doing anything to heavy duty it charges while using the system.
