My best guess is to wear the watch turned face to the inside of your wrist and make a bandage to go over it. You might could wear it for one show to get the numbers and then enter them manually or know to add that to the numbers for that day in your head. The numbers should be the same for every show.

If I were to get something like a Fitbit Zip or a Misfit Flash, do we know if that data would integrate with the Apple Watch activity tracker? Or would it be two separate sets of information?

Jawbone definitely does. They have the up move for $49. It clips on a belt. Fitbit is anti HealthKit so they definitely will not integrate. I have one now.

This. I was going to say, have the costumer designer give you a bandana to wear around your wrist. Something like:

I think it would go with the show.

I'm an 18th century re-enactor, and I wear a Pebble watch. The long sleeve of my shirt covers it 90% of the time. The other times no one really notices. The authenticity Nazis have yet to catch me wearing it, and trust me they would spare no effort in their harassing me if they saw it.

As others have pointed out a small cloth bandage sort of thing covering it would take care of any accidental showing of it.

Believe me, if I thought I could get away with it, even with a bandage or scarf, I would. Doing this would be a pretty sure way to get me fired, though.

Looking into the Jawbone Up Move. If it would sync my activity data with my Apple Watch, that could really work nicely. Having a hard time finding a solid answer on that. I guess time will tell...

Did you have any luck wearing it elsewhere apart from the wrist. I am a doctor and have to be 'bare below the elbows' at work so I have a similar predicament.

I also work in healthcare and am having the same problem. Did you find a solution? I don't mind if it doesn't track my heart rate all day but I would like it to register my steps.

This has been a consistent occurrences lately with newbies (and least the 3ed time today in the Watch forum) reviving and quoting old threads. I'm curious as to why or how it is happening.

  • How did you find this old thread?
  • Did you do a search or was it at the top of the forum feed?
  • Is the default sorting by Last Message field or another field?
