I use google play but the interface ain't the best.

Is there anything that is similar but more like an iPods layout and has the ability to create playlists?

Airplay support would be great too.

You mean Google Play - Music?

There are a lot of streaming services. Most if not all offer playlists. Interfaces are a matter of personal choice, so try them out and find out which suits you. Tidal, Qobuz or Amazon (and others) for high resolution, Apple Music and Spotify .....

I don't use the matching services as they are all low resolution. Simple enough to add the tracks I like to the appropriate playlist.

No I never synced anything, all my music is on the iPod, and the only other place is an external drive.

Vox is a service where you upload your music in any resolution and play it via their player:

Is it free or do you need the premium? I was a little confused when I looked them up.
