Lost mine (left it behind in a room, and someone expropriated it). Is there a less expensive alternative to having to purchase another Apple 29W USB-C Power Adapter MJ262LLA. (And I need a cable too, so it will be an outlay of 75.00 that I would prefer to avoid right now.)
Here's the link to Apple's product page: http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MJ262LL/A/apple-29w-usb-c-power-adapter
Any guidance would be appreciated.

Quite uncharacteristically for this forum, I didn't receive any replies to my question, but that might have been because the answer was too obvious: eBay.
But for anyone who finds themselves needing an adapter but not really needing to remit $50 to Apple, look to Affordamac on eBay (or otherwise).

The retina macbook hasn't been out all that long and it's the only apple product at the moment that charges with USB-C so I don't think most folks have had to replace their chargers yet. I'm assuming if you had a USB power brick that supplied the correct amount of power all you really need is a USB-A to USB-C cable

Under no circumstances should you be buying some el-cheapo chinese charger for any apple product from eBay... they are notorious for being poorly designed and unsafe.
