alternative ical on my desktop/menubar?

I don't like ical icon on my dock but I would love to keep ical handy so i could easily access my calendar.

not sure if it exist but i would like a shortcut on the menubar or a small icon to launch calendar without having a dock icon?

You might want to try Fantastical

How about spotlight. Type command->space, then "ical" then return. On mine, ical will show up first in spotlight with just typing "ic"

Fantastical is amazing thanks, i'll use the spotlight command till i could purchase Fantastical.
