    Hello,

I just transitioned from Android to Iphone 7 Plus. I am enjoying the experience so far, but I do not like the interface of the iMessenger, Contacts and Calendar apps.

Any recommended alternatives - I particularly like the integration of messaging between my iphone , mac and ipad and will love an app that preserves that functionality.

Similarly, I like my calendar to be integrated with gmail so I can add appointments directly from gmail to the calendar.

With regard to Contact, I want one that preserves the grouping feature - currently, my imported contacts are all separated from the various groups I created in Android, and I need to manually go back and recreate the group. If an app can take the import file and do this, that would be great - at least, any improvement over the stock should be ok.

    thanks again - Oy

Not much is there for iMessage aside from Apple's Messages app. There are other messengers but none support Apple's proprietary iMessage.

For Calendar there are many third party apps like Google Calendar, Calendars, Week Cal, Fantastical, etc.

There are similarly some other Contacts apps, but none come to mind offhand at the moment (you can try looking through some in the App Store by browsing some related apps).

Texting is texting so I'm not sure what more you could want from iMessage.

In terms of Mail, Contacts, Calendars, you can just use the App that is Native to your mail provider. Google has a native app and Outlook is available for Microsoft accounts.

My primarily smartphone is a wonderful Nexus 6P, my secondary is an iPhone 6S Plus.

Used concurrently, every day of the year they both benefit from the stellar Google Ecosystem.

It's my high functioning Google account at the center of my mobile communications and computing experience.

Google Now, Chrome, Contacts, Calendar, Keep, Hangouts, Duo, Maps, Drive, Docs, Drawings, Sheets, Slides, Translator... are the Apps and Services I use exclusively.

My iPhone is especially productive using Google's excellent apps for iOS. So good that I avoid anything Apple.

Perfectly synchronized in real time 24/7 I couldn't be happier.

    Thanks Google :D

So after that generic Google testimonial ad, what is it that you recommend as far as what the OP is actually talking about? A different app that supports iMessage, a different app for Contacts, and one for Calendar that the OP could use in iOS?
