I am wondering because using Music App when I import my music it starts to upload to Apple Music. On my Windows 10 PC I use MusicBee which is great but on MacOS I can't find anything as good as MusicBee. Many music players are paid and I want something free if possible. If not I don't mind much as long as it is cheap and updated.

Wow. I'd never heard of MusicBee until now. I doubt that you're going to find something as good on macOS. Here are a few to check out though: VOX, Swinsian, Clementine, and Musique. Swinsian isn't free but it's about as close to MusicBee as you're going to get. Hope this helps!

The music player apps available for MacOS is pathetic. Most of them are slow and crash. Many are not free. Really. I settled on foobar2000 which I had to create one by one and playlist for every album. It's the only player that works and does not crash or create duplicates of my music in other places like the music app does or does it upload the music to the cloud messing up my Apple Music albums.

Roon is awesome. It integrates your library with streaming services, but it is very expensive.

I am still stick to Mojave because iTunes reason. My well curated library was build from 2009, and I don't want Music App mess my library.

I am also using VOX, but older version. VOX works nice with external DAC interface, especially for playing lossless files.

Clementine is barely basic player, but it's works fine, but interface isn't my cup of tea.

I am trial into Swinsian but still pathetic. After 2 years of Mojave release, it's still doesn't have dark mode !! The dev seems doesn’t bother with it. Their interface still unchanged, same from 2015 El Capitan era.

Might be bought it if dev implemented dark mode, but for now I can stay with iTunes.
