PureMac (pure-mac.com) once was the place to go if you needed free utilities, demo's, or any a list of for-charge products to purchase for all of your Mac OS needs.

However the website has not even been updated it says since July 2013 and most if not the majority of downloads are getting old as dirt, no longer supported by newer Macs.

Any suggestions besides PureMac? It's a shame this site is dying a slow death with dated software and no updates in 8 months.

Had the same issue with version tracker. Epically useful until new owners turned it into JustAnotherBrand™
The issue with Pure Mac and VersionTracker are not at all the same.

The issue with Pure Mac is that it has not posted a new listing since June 17, 2013. However, it is still online. VersionTracker's issue is somewhat the opposite. It no longer exists. Its owners, CBS Interactive, Inc., took down VersionTracker in favor of c|net's Download.com. An attempt to access VersionTracker results in a redirection to Download.com. IMHO, CBS made the exact opposite decision that it should have made. VersionTracker was much easier to use than Download.com.

While it was operational, I used and liked the CNET TechTracker utility. It did a decent albeit imperfect job of tracking updates of your installed software that were available at Download.com. It is baffling why CBS replaced the Windows version of CNET TechTracker with Download app. Strangely enough, a select few Mac apps have their distribution .dmg image files encapsulated in wrappers.

That said, Download.com post new and/or updated Mac titles everyday.
