I went to the web site, when it asks for my location there are only three options in the pull down menu.
I don’t know.

Optimum is in 4 states (1 small area of PA included), and Suddenlink is in a bunch more. Both are under Altice USA, they just haven't coalesced under one brand name yet.

If it's like Spectrum. You have to have at least cable box in the house and then you can use your AppleTV or Roku App to stream.

I use the Spectrum app and it works but my only gripe is I can't directly put in a channel number and go to it...if you can I haven't found it...although I haven't looked too hard.

You can use Siri. Hold the Siri button on the remote and say something like "Watch ABC in Spectrum TV".

Never heard of this.
I've found that some cable modems are indeed garbage. I work IT at numerous locations all over New York City, and I've found that Arris modems tend to be the most reliable, but other manufacturers such as Motorola, and Cisco tend to have issues, especially if there's some signal degradation. Arris modems have all seemed to be much better at handling it, in my experience.

I’d like to see the powers that be lighten up on not allowing competition. In NJ cable companies have contracts that forbid other providers from offering services in the same area. I’m fortunate in that I have a choice between Fios and Optimum. You can have Optimum without the Alice feature from what I understand. However, I do know many people who are using Alice and to a person they hate it. Constant dropping of the signal, resetting, nothing positive to say about it.

Would be nice if we had more choice of internet. Anytime I'm enticed by stories like this, I'm quickly snapped back to the reality that no matter what I do for my television watching, I'm beholden to Comcast for my internet, and then I just forget about it. The bad part is, Comcast's internet is the worst... I constantly need to reset my modem, speeds are blazingly fast one day and crawling the next, they inundate me with sales calls even though I'm under contract and have no desire to add/remove services, and they refuse to let me stream to the Apple TV. I don't care if they make me lease their equipment, at least give me the option to use something else while I lease the box.

Instead of innovating, their solution is to constantly raise rates as they bleed subscribers. If I had other options for broadband, I'd gladly ditch them. /end rant.

It may be a fluke, but Roku, apparently, has some kind of deal with xFinity (Comcast). Their platform supports a "Comcast Beta" app that is a slower, slightly less featured version of their main, regular broadcast. I have it on a stand alone ROKU branded TV and a ROKU Ultra stb. I ASSUME you have to be a Comcast subscriber, but I don't really remember logging in to activate the app.

This sounds like how the Roku app for Comcast works.
