Alu iMac Fan Speeds

Hey, I was wondering if these fans speeds are normal, becuase they seem kinda high...

CPU: 1199rpm
Hard Drive: 1598rpm
Optical Drive: 1351rpm

Also I'm not doing anything intense just, safari, adium, and mail.

They are normal. 1200 RPM for CPU is the lowest setting and can get up to at least 4000 (if I remember correctly).

The new MBPs have idle fan speeds of 2000 RPM and can go to 6000 RPM if needed.

PS: Take a look at the temperature.

😉 From my limited experience with 2008 iMac's - those fan speeds are totally fine, in fact - quite low. Expect fan speeds to ramp up a little more during summer, if your place isn't well cooled.
