Alu macbook battery life

    hey all, finally got my new aluminium macbook and i was just wondering, how long does everybody else get out of their batteries when fully charged, out of a full charge it tells me im getting around 4 hours and i cant help but think this is a little short

    It depends what I'm doing. If I'm simply word processing or browsing then , with low screen brightness and keyboard lights off, I can get 5+ hours. However, with full birghtness watching a DVD then only 3 hours. There's loads of stuff on the forum search about this topic, if you search there you might find some more useful reports on battery life.

    yep, it depends on what apps you are running on your macbook. I turn off my bluetooth, set brightness to low if I'm browsing the net or doing my work. It gives me close to 5 hrs. Also, since you just got your macbook, do a calibration once a month for optimal performance
