I'm buying my MB tomorrow and I'm still in between the old MB and the new. Like the title says...you think the aluminum would hold up better to normal usage longer than the plastic?

This wasn't the best update but I figure, since I'm in college, I would rather spend more money on something that will last me a long time rather than something I'll need to replace soon. Thanks

oh hell yes.

it is really sturdy.

I was at the apple store checkin em out and i tried flexing the unibody...barely any give.
I would say one of the sturdiest light laptops I've ever touched.

Of course the new one is more sturdy with that new unibody. That is common sense. Either Macbook will last you threw college as long as you don't abuse it.

It definitely felt so when I tried it out yesterday.

It might qualify as a deadly weapon with the edges though! 😱

Amazingly sturdy.. I got mine a couple days ago from the SoHo store. My old blackbook would always creek and the case would bend a bit. The new aluminum is so sturdy (but light) it literally feels like one piece of material.
