Alu MB Hard Disk Constantly Reading

Basically, my friend got his new MacBook Alu for Christmas, but currently all the hard disk is doing is reading constantly, even when he has nothing running.

Any ideas?

Tell him to take it to a apple store 🙂 they are super helpful in figuring out why its a "bad" apple 😉

Yeah, something short of that please, it's shut at the moment, it being 10pm.

Any ideas as to what is causing it?
