Aluminium AW with leather straps?

So I got some money for Christmas and part of me has been tempted to go for an  watch S4 with it as it’s burning a hole in my pocket. .
I owned an original  watch when they came out but returned it after a few days because I didn’t really have the money for it back then so it seemed unnecessary.

Anyway, I didn’t want to stretch to SS (although I absolutely think it looks incredible) because it’s such a price increase and I don’t even know if I will get my money’s worth from it. Will I find benefit from it as much as some others do etc. I’m no runner or gym bunny, so closing dem rings will not be a goal of mine with this thing.

My question though is around the aluminium option and the plethora of bands. From my research online, the SS watch looks fantastic with Milanese and leather loops. That’s more the look I favour, the aluminium with silicone is not really a look I like. But how do the leather straps look on the aluminium?

Does anyone rock them with their aluminium watch that they can share? The show off your watch thread has been fantastic for pics but I haven’t seen many aluminium with leather - just sweet sweet SS which then makes me want that haha.

Of course the SS is going to look better with just about any band, but I think the aluminum looks great with leather. Here is my brown band (Clockwork Synergy brand)

And don’t forget woven nylon. This one is a knock off:

As you can see I’m not afraid of mixing finishes. That’s my wife’s steel bicycle with leather grips up against an aluminum brake lever clamp, a black thumb shifter clamp, and a chrome Nitto handlebar. Didn’t realize I matched my watch band to my shoes that day. I’m rarely so coordinated.
