Hey Guys,

I recently purchased an iMac (About 5-6 weeks ago), and 1-2 keys have started coming loose on the new wired aluminium keyboard. Mainly the . and / keys. Im not a heavy typer so I dont understand why they are coming loose. I keep pressing them down so they clip in, but after a few taps they come loose again.

As I dont currently own Applecare (Saving up), if I take the defective keyboard into the apple store, will they replace? or make me buy a brand new one?

Thank you for your advice in advance.

you're under warranty for your first year of purchase, and the keyboard is certainly covered. take it in, they should at least fix the keys if possible (could be a spring or clip that broke off) or replace it.

Thank you very much.

I wasnt sure wether that would cover the keyboard or not, or wether they would try and say that I had damaged the Keyboard.

I will let you know how I get on. Might get chance to pop it back to the shop tomorrow.
