Aluminum Discoloration on rear of 15 in MBP

How do i get get rid of this eyesore? My MBP is only a week old? I love this machine. Can discoloration be fixed? I tried everything

Looks like you scraped the powder coating off the edge there a little bit. There isn't much you can do about it.

It certainly looks scratched. Don't worry about it though, it's just a computer.

I just got back from the Apple stores Genius bar. They are going to replace it with a brand new Macbook pro. No questions asked. Thank you Apple!!

Its true. I have to wait one to two weeks for Apple to process the exchange. The Apple store will call me when it arrives. I signed the form asking me if i wanted my data tranfered. They were very nice about it

I gotta side with the OP (in terms of the story's truth). I complained about scratches (really really minor ones, even more so than the one the OP had) and they replaced the casing for me. My MBP was about 3 weeks old at that point too.

seriously? you had a whole laptop replaced because of a scratch like this? you do realize its a laptop and it is bound to get scratched no matter how much you take care of it?
