All my previous Apple watches have been stainless steel -- I really love the material and how scratch resistant the screen is, plus the ability to polish the casing to get it to look like new. I 'feel' I could live without the always-on display, but I'm not sure how much of a difference it'll make my life unless I try it. However, I found a SS S4 in pristine condition with 1 year left on Apple Care for only $450. Should I go for this, and then get the S6 next year when presumably, there will be more of an upgrade?

Either watch would be a great upgrade to what I have now since I'm switching from Note9 + Fitbit Versa

If you want a really nice watch and are not bothered about the latest tech then get the SS 4. If I were buying the 5 now then I would get the alu but I think the best thing to do with Apple watches is wait a year after launch and get the SS in that model, let someone else pay the Apple tax

The SS S4 is a terrific device. I think that’s a great deal (and would go for it).

Always on display is convenient, but isn’t a huge deal for me.

Sticking with my S4 for another year or even two.
