The step count on my AW and FitBit One never even close. As of early afternoon, the FitBit is 800 steps ahead of the AW. As the day goes on, the gap will continue to widen. Sometimes, the gap has been 1,500 steps or more. I've done two calibrations with the AW, but they're still not close. My wife's AW and FitBit Flex step counts are usually much closer and sometimes she gets more steps on her AW.
This probably makes sense. The FB One counts steps by movements of your body because it is in your pocket or clipped to your belt. The AW detects steps by arm movement. They are tracking totally different physical movements. The Flex counts by arm movement as well, so those two (FB Flex & AW) methodologies align.

Good point, why didn't I think of that! :D:)

To answer your original question:

"I just wonder how uber dork I will look with both strapped on my wrist."

Yes you will look "uber dork."

With that being written the point of the health app is to motivate and track what you are doing and if having two devices helps you do that then more power to you.

However, if you get really serious about being a competitor you will probably up your game and get a real HR monitor strap and the associated training software/apps.

Enjoy them both.
