I have and love my rMBP, fully spec'd 15in blah blah blah max stats. Before I bought it I was seriously considering getting the 27" iMac...and now I'm reconsidering it. I would get the fully spec'd 27", 32gb, the 768gb ssd, 2gb VRAM, all that to bring it up to a good 4k. And I want to be able to move it in a pelican case, which sounds perfect. But I've been told this is stupid. I love the new iMac, I love the screen, I love the specs I get for nearly the same price I paid for my laptop...but I'll be moving it plenty. Pelican case yes, but it'll be moved. I plan on selling my rMBP and purchasing this iMac as well as the cheapest MacBook Air. So is this feasible or am I stupid? *side note, all work done on these machines are 4k video, photo, and intense gaming.
