I am buying a iMac 17" C2D tomorrow for 600$ Canadian (off kijiji.ca)
Am I getting a good or bad deal? Keep in mind that 600$ Cdn is 466 Usd

Specs are...

-2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
-1GB RAM (up to 3)
-ATI Radeon X1600 with 128MB GDDR3 SDRAM
-17"
-160GB HD
-Comes with install disks and stuff and leopard pre-installed

Also, will I notice a big speed increase in comparison to my current iMac G5?

Thanks in advance.

I think if it is very clean w/ a very clean KB & M, that will be an OK price. At the US online store you can get an aluminum 20" for $999, refurb or clearance.

Remember I am in Canada and everything is like 100-150$ more plus where I live there is 15% Tax. The older alu iMac on clearance is 1199 plus 15% tax.

ask if the seller is including the Leopard install disc 'cause if you run into problems and need to reinstall youll have to go back to the OS that shipped with the iMac which is probably Tiger.

he is including both disks but the leopard one is burnt so it is not very legal
