So I went to sleep last night and when I woke up this morning my MacBook Air (A1466) had a extremely dim screen. No amount of tinkering will brighten the screen. So far I have reset the PRAM and also the SMC to no avail. So I thought it is time for a factory reset being all my files are backed up. Well to my surprise when booting holding option key and connected to my TV I get a scrambled screen that is white, grey and green! What the heck happened MacRumors? Did I do something? There was no liquid spilled nor am I in a moist environment. I hope some one can help me with this as my warranty has expired last month and Apple wants 20 dollars just to speak to some one about the issue. I am lost.....
Here are some photos of the scrambled screen. Please keep in mind the laptop boots fine into OSX it just has no back-light. And the scrambled screen only pops up when in recovery or safe mode.
