I know it's what's it's designed to do but it just turns the screen yellow which I can't stand. I really love the cool blueish white of the screen. I've tried it several times and keep turning it off.

I love it, but did find something out. Because it's based on the ambient light, I found that turning it on at night with lamps on gives a yellowish cast, but turning it on during daylight, the screen is more blueish. Give it a try, might just be my experience.

That's exactly how its supposed to work. It senses that ambient light and adjusts the screen temp to match. Personally, I love the feature.

It makes me think the screen is all yellowed and aged from smoking... I feel the effect is a little too strong and hope they offer a slider to adjust the depth of truth.

This helps no more returned displays to Apple without True Tone because they are too Blue or too Yellow. It takes some adjusting but it's just better. Of course you just can't beat OLED displays the OLED on the Tab S2 is amazing.

I have stated this many times, the tab S2 OLED is amazing and the whites are actually white; I own this device as well. I am not a fan of yellow tones and true tone is definitely not my thing after testing it out at the apple store. My iPad pro 12.9 has better colors and whites in my opinion than the smaller pro. Apple is using true tone as a cost effective method to stop display returns.....it wouldn't surprise me.

My eyes adjust so well to the screen color with true tone that I actually checked to see if I still had it turned on. It looked perfectly white but then I compared it to my phone and it made the 6s screen look bluish which it isn't. My iPad pro has a bluish white screen when true tone is off. I used to think I preferred the cooler screens but I now like the warmer ones that are easier on the eyes. However I mean warmer white, even screens - not yellow or with uneven tints.

I owned the Tab S2 but returned it due to just having an old 32-bit CPU. Anyways the display is superb.
I do own a Samsung Note 5 with a 5.7 inch OLED 1440p Display and I would rate that display slightly better than the iPad Pro's. Whites are white. Colors pop off the screen. And it's just so vibrant

The thing is.... 32 bits makes no difference, the device flies. I have the S6 edge plus too and that's a 64 bit device yet my S2 seems faster...the processor on the S2 is capable of 64 bit processing, maybe the marshmallow update will unlock it.

I think its a very personal preference. However, I noticed during the week while looking at the Pro 12.9 that some people next to me thought the screen was broken as they had it side by side next to the larger pro. I heard them say it didn't look white in word on the smaller pro. I didn't say anything but found it pretty funny. They really should have some pop up info on the screen to inform of certain features!

Ive also had another funny situation were two people were looking at the macbook pro in best buy and they thought the older mac was the best computer on the table because the newer macbook pros don't have the name on the bezel. They were looking at the older pro the whole time lol

Just crazy!

I like 2700k lightbulbs, my calibrated plasma tv, and true tone!
