It’s been like this for years, it’s suppose to be like that, I’ve asked them.

The notification USED to go away on all the other devices when the mails been read on one device, but not anymore.

I do not like it.
I hate this also. Did they say why it did this?

Or Spark mail, it is free and works great for me
Right, but they just introduced a subscription model.
I moved back to Mail a week ago or so and it's been not that bad actually. Sure, it's not as colorful as Spark, but with the Ventura upgrades there is feature parity between Spark and Mail (for me at least).

I don't know if anyone else has had this "bug" with mail before, but when my MacBook turns off when the battery is run all the way to 0, the next time I connect power, I have to re-login to Gmail in Mail otherwise I won't get any new messages. This has persisted across a few OS versions and reinstalls already. Just really annoying and now I try to make sure to keep my MacBook charged.

Yeah, it's not great, but neither are any email options I've found.

First of all, yes OP. I've had this issue forever and I hate it. But I have the same issue with my work instance of Outlook. Some apps are just bad with that it seems. Though you'd think an Apple first party app would not be.

I don't know enough about email protocols to know if this is just an email thing or an iOS thing, but it is annoying. Then again, email is the bane of my existence, so it's only natural that all the software for it sucks too.

I have the same issue with my iCloud email. I have the 13 pro and a MBP 13 2020.

I notice the sync works well one way, Phone to Mac, but not the other.

If I delete an email, and watch my Mac mail account, I see it also delete in seconds, but the other way around, I have to manually sync (swipe down). So it's definitely a bug. I wonder whether apple do that to save battery, otherwise it will be constantly looking for changes.

Mac Mail is the worst. It's been full of bugs for years. The Graphical user Interface is horrible. Some of you mention GMail. Did you know that Google uses Artificial Intelligence to read all of your messages to create a profile of you so it can sell it to targeted advertisers?

I have used Gmail for years and I have yet to experience the receipt of any ads, targeted or not. Google may be selling my info but I am not receiving anything from the firms who may be buying it.

There will still be a free version for non-team users. The Dev/creator sent to an email saying they are still making changes to v3. Everything that is free in v2 will still be free in v3 for personal users (there was an error in some material that was posted, I guess). And v2 will still be supported for at least another year while they finish development & testing on v3. Readdle has been a good company who makes excellent products so i'm giving them the benefit of the doubt right now.

I don't mind paying for products as developers still need to make a living. But let the cost be reasonable.

Unlike many/most of Apple's products, Mail seems like it was put together by a kindergarten pupil and their friends.
I keep using it because I haven't found a alternative desktop mail client for multiple email accounts.
Any suggestions (not from the Evil G, MS or any other giant tech co.).

Mimestream is awesome. Highly recommend. Yes it's still in beta but really works great and the Dev is still adding features most requested. I'll be happy to pay for it when that time comes.
Mimestream 1.0 was released today. $50 per year but the first year is $29 and tax. It might be worth it for Gmail users as it uses the Google API. There is a two week trial period.
