I am up to date with the latest version of Mavericks but I still am having trouble with my gmail accounts and Mac Mail. It all runs fine on my iOS devices but various problems on my iMac. I don't see much in the forums about it so I am wondering if it is something unique to me.

I don't get mail all the time. It really only seems to update with new mail when I take all mailboxes offline and then bring them back online. Other wise, things do not update consistently. When I am in Mac Mail creating or responding to mail, it will update at times but not always. Once it is minimized, I rarely get new mail.

I also notice that I can't move mail from inbox to imap folders in Mac Mail. I used to be able to in Mountain Lion and can still do so on my iOS devices in the mail app there. Just no luck on the iMac. Get an error message when I try.

They are supposed to have fix this program about 4 times and it is still not working for me. I hope that I am the only one but...

I've been trying out PostBox although I don't use GMail I use my own domain, it works pretty well. It has a 30 day trial so more than enough time to see if it meets your needs.

Your not alone. Having the same problem here. Shutdown Mail, open it back up, and it works. Not even manual check of email works.

At the bend in the river
Mail has been pretty great for me, but yesterday all my accounts went offline.

Can't figure out any way to get them back online. Working fine on iPhone & iPad...
