Went naked with the iPhone 4. After dropping and breaking three screens, I feel it's a no brainer to put a case on my iPhone 5.

The 4s is beautiful as they designed it, a case on top is like plastic covers on top of a nice sofa. A jacket on top of Beyonce. :)

It feels like the dang thing is gonna slip out of my hand one day but I don't care.

Am I the only one that carries their iPhone naked?
No one's ever the only one. Consider the millions and millions of iPhone users out there. The odds that any one is the only one on any topic are extremely unlikely. Do whatever works for you.

Also, don't overlook prior threads:

I like wearing clothes in public so no, I do not carry my iPhone 5 naked.
It helps to have a pocket to put it in.

Yes and who cares?

Are you the only one who like Doritos? Are you the only one who like mustard on their chili fries?

obviously 2 pages worth of people (replies).

go naysay somewhere else. If you don't have something constructive to say or anything to contribute to the topic of the thread, why post?

If this were a chip/snacking forum either of your other 2 examples would be perfectly acceptable topics.

Since this is an iPhone forum, the topic at hand is iPhone related and perfectly legitimate.

OP, I carry my phone naked now. I kept my 4s in perfect condition protected by screen (and back) protectors in an otterbox case and handed my wife a pristine iPhone (she couldn't care less) which she promptly lost within like 3 months. Ever since that day I took mine out of the case. I still use a skin to help prevent scratches or whatever but her losing my first and favorite iPhone 4s quickly made me realize how being over protective and worrysome about the damn thing is really more of a burden. I have an applecare + warranty... might as well take advantage of the thin-ness and design of the thing. Heck, chances are I'll keep this one in perfect condition for 711 days and then lose it or something dumb.

p.s. I'm already on my 2nd iPhone 5 cause my launch day phone sleep/wake stopped working... good thing I put a skin on it and kept it from scratching... that did a whole lot lol (you see what I mean though)

On my second 5, dropped and smashed the first one three weeks in.
Not proud of this.
But, new one, still naked.
Can't cover up that beautiful industrial design.
Although, the marks on the anodised aluminium are really starting to come on.
But no cover for me, ever!

What's the point of keeping a phone in perfect condition? I mean if you drop it and don't like scratches then put a case on it. You won't be able to see the damage. I see no point in keeping something perfect that isn't going to be seen (when it has a case on). I don't like cases and never will, it also annoys me when people put down Samsung for making a plastic phone but then go ahead and put a plastic case on their iPhone. What's the point of having a metal phone when you're just going to touch a plastic case…

I don't use a case on my 4S, the 3G that I used to have had a case, but when I upgraded I decided I didn't need one.
