6.) Buy Movies, TV & Audio Books - The first two I might as well wait 'till I get home to download. Those two things are going to take FOREVER. My YouTube app takes forever and the quality isn't even good.

7.) Enhanced Stock App - OKAY APPLE, I'M SOLD. No, I'm not.

those are the only two i agree with, although i already updated. if you ever purchased an album through the iTunes WiFi Store that comes with a bonus video then you know how long it takes to download a video. i purchases Isolated Incident which came with a movie that was about an hour long and it took FOREVER. i never finished it, i just stopped it and continued on my computer. and i wonder how many people actually use the stock and weather app. especially since there are stock and weather apps in the app store that are 12461456446448567357 times better than the apple ones.

I'm pretty confused as to why you wouldn't want to upgrade. What's the loss of upgrading? You will still be able to jailbreak after your upgrade, I would understand you not wanting to upgrade if it would affect something negatively or if you would lose something, but it seems like it's nothing but gains.

No, you won't be able to jailbreak. Not right away. And do all my apps work with 3.0 when some make it a point to call themselves "3.0 compatible"? I have two paid apps that I know for a fact won't work with 3.0. It looks like a crap shoot to me so until I can at least jailbreak it and wrest some control away from Der Apple, I won't bother. I've gotten used to having a phone that does what I want it to do, I have no need to go back to a phone that only does what Apple allows it to do.

nice! i might jailbreak just for the percentage symbol

that's what i'm doing. i did it for emoji (before there were apps in the app store to do it) so i don't mind doing it again. i'm going to do that and change the carrier string. plus i want to set my ipod up as a new one because supposedly it will run faster if you do that.

I thought I'd chime in.

I'm running the 7A341 GM build right now and I've been seriously considering downgrading back to 2.2.1 again. Yeah, I'll miss copy and paste but 2.2.1 is more polished then 3.0. I wish I show you what I mean, but it just doesn't seem like Apple software right now. 2.2.1 was perfect and worked very well. Do not upgrade to 3.0 until at least 3.0.2.

Are you talking about the 1px offset in the messaging app again, or something a little more substantial?

I'm getting the new 3GS, so I'll have two iPhones. My current one, I will keep on the old software, and the new one will be on 3GS.

I'll use my old iphone as an ipod. :apple:

I don't understand some people, why would you NOT want to upgrade when it is free. You may not think it's significant, which is fair enough, but it is a free improvement nonetheless. its just trying to stir up anger.

oh well lol it was good times.. people would go into the apple store enter the website and hit Jailbrake and it would do it right there without a computer..... Apple got pissed and fix it

There'll never be another piece of hardware like this, not even Capt. Archer's got it

Unlike DTV, no one is forcing you to upgrade to 3.0. The fact is you can upgrade six months from now if that's your cup of tea.
You're making this much too complicated.

It better have better battery life.

i'm on it now but i haven't really noticed better battery life but when push notifications start coming out, wouldn't that make battery life worse since it would always be searching for notifications.

Yes you are. The reasons in the original post don't make much sense either. Might as well say "I don't need an iPhone because I can use a pay phone instead."

Who knows. I'm a bit cranky this morning.

For people like me, with multiple e-mail accounts and close to a thousand contacts, it's extremely useful.

I'm sure you personally know and contact all 1000 frequently too.

Anyone know if NetShare works under 3.0 firmware??

It does, there have been threads saying so at least.
