I swear... every keyboard should have one.
Just replace the Insert key with a .com key.
if you're on windows: type in the name of the website, say apple, and then press ctrl+enter - it will do the www. and .com inself
if you're on mac: just type apple - safari adds the rest itself
Isn't "slothfulness" one of the original sins? Gawd, maybe if we add the key to the keyboard, then you would only have to look at it?
If you're using Safari or Firefox, just typing in "apple" or "macrumors" or "youtube" will take you directly to the site. No need to type www. or .com. With sites that are a little more obscure, it'll take you to a Google search.
I occasionally double hit the space bar when wanting to put a full stop. It's a shame because I reckon that would be a nice feature on the computer.
Yes, the '.com' key would be great.... for all those .net, .org, co.uk etc sites.
ONE key for one tld. To please everyone with this lazyness, we would have to supply a USB device that had 100+ keys to get all the tld's.
Then the time you spend looking for .it or whatever, you could have typed those 3 keys, 4 times.
most have some form of it which is easier than a .com button. like mentioned just type the name of the site excluding www. and .com, and press return. camino and firefox will do the rest.

I'd buy one of those if it matched the dimensions and style of the current Apple keyboard. I think it would be uselessly awesome.
