I got an email from Apple (unless it was a scam) asking me to fill out a survey.

So I said sure bc I wanted to complain about them slowing down iPhones.

After selecting the model I use it basically just asked me how satisfied I was.

And I told them the truth - extremely satisfied. My iPhone 8 is pretty much new and on iOS 11.1.2 WHICH I PLAN TO NEVER UPGRADE BTW TO TRY AND AVOID THROTTLING OF MY CPU. But yeah I love my iPhone 8 as of right now. Works super.

But then the survey basically ended.

I never got a chance to complain about the slow down scandal.

How about you use your phone, enjoy the new features iOS updates bring, and when the battery wears out -- should you still have the phone -- you replace the battery. Boom. No throttling.

Apple contacted you through a recent survey because you likely contacted them for something related to a product order or question. So specifically it's referring to your experience for that matter, not necessarily just to complain about the throttling.

Don’t do that. Your phone won’t throttle for at least two to three years if you take care of it normally, and you’ll skip security patches, bug fixes and new features. Also, iOS 12, and most likely 13 will work great on your phone. Maybe skip 14.
