Hate them. Just as Craig demonstrated, you will NEVER, and I mean N-E-V-E-R get the gestures to work on the first try or without triggering something completely different. Even something as "simple" as scrolling is broken.

OK OK. I have left my mouses in drawers for so long and have recently revived them due to changing my work setup temporarily. I'll take this part back. With the latest OS, they respond pretty well. Not always great, due to some sort of desensitizing (like de-bounce for touch interfaces), but way way better than they did when they first came out!

I really dislike that I can't palm the mouse. Holding it feels like cutting a deck of cards...and then cutting and cutting until you're trying to evenly divide a stack of 20-cards with one hand.

What @thomasparra said is still true though. The stair-stepping on diagonal movements is gross.

I thought I was the only one. I bought the MX kit for the keyboard and mouse. The keyboard is by far superior to the Magic Keyboard. Keys are better with improved travel, love the backlighting, and the fact I can use it with my Mac and Windows gaming PC is super cool.

However the MX3 mouse, while it is absolutely more ergonomic, and has more buttons, is why I returned the kit.

For me it came down to swiping. Holding a button and moving the mouse is just nowhere near as intuitive as swiping the surface of the magic mouse with my finger. Scrolling with the wheel was ok but not as smooth as with the Magic Mouse especially with the reverse scrolling macOS has that I’m used to.

Better touch tool is awesome and allows me to customize so many actions with the Magic Trackpad and Magic Mouse.

If there’s a way to replicate swiping on the MX3 mouse I really want to know because I’d love to have just one keyboard/mouse on my desk but I just couldn’t get used to the mouse.

I've been using the Logi MX mouse series for years and got used to the "push and slide" replacement for swiping. It took about two months to get used to it after years of using the Magic Mouse, but once I did it was clear to me that I'll never go back to the Magic Mouse (even if Apple decides to redesign it to make it more ergonomic). Not having the pain in my hand and wrist was worth the switch alone.

I've loved the Magic mouse/keyboard since they came out. My main display is a 55" TV up on the wall, and I have three places around the living room from where I can operate the mac, each with their own set of bluetooth magic mouse/keyboard sets. Next thing I'm getting is a magic keyboard with touchID to replace my most often used one.

I agree about the wire port on the underside of the mouse, though. A bit silly.

As for using a TV, my mini is only used for media on my TV and Hi-Fi. So it would be nice to have usability as easy and convenient as a TV remote.

Nothing beats this. Everybody that comes over is skeptical but in about a minute they’re converted and say there’s no better way to control your TV.

I have long used and loved the Magic Mouse. I have one for every computer that I own (M2 Mac Studio, M2 MBA, 2019 iMac and several older Mac minis). However, I understand that some have physical pain when using these peripherals. TBH, I have never experienced any pain in my hand related to use of the MM, but I am glad to hear that you have found something that works for you.

At the end of the day, that's what matters - finding a system and set of peripherals that allow you to enjoy the digital world.
