Am I the only one who prefers the Studio to an iMac?

No I’m the same. I’m really glad Apple is moving away from iMac Pro to Mac Studio instead. If you want to change to 8K display for 4K 120Hz display , or whatever else, in future you can.

I think the all-in-one is still ok and I also like the iMac redesign but defiantly fits the consumer / office admin role much better.

If one is worried about burn in, buy the OLED at Best Buy and add their 5 year GeekSquad protection plan (adds $150-190, depending upon purchase price) and it fully covers burn in.

They are very good about it -- it's a legit warranty with no "gotchas"

LG C2 42-inch at the office. Not at all concerned about burn in. Working on upgrading home office now. The difference between OLED and the home iMac IPS panel -- I can't stand the IPS iMac anymore.

What Mac are you on? I'm using an M2 studio and can only get HDR on the 42" C2 when running native scaling. Was hoping to bump things down just a tad but you lose the option for HDR. I'm assuming one of these apps people have mentioned might be able to do what I want but I haven't tried them before.

Problem with the AIO is when one bit goes awol , you're stuck

I've had several iMacs pack up due to the screen failing , ok 2

Definitely prefer the modular approach of the mini and studio , then again had 2 mini's pack up too LOL

I have had 4 iMacs. I currently have 3 of them and they all work fine. I have a local place that can fix screens, or replace the HDDs with SSDs fairly cheap. I have an M1 mini 512/16 and it's currently unused. I am using my 2010 iMac twice a week and my 2015 iMac daily.
