Am I the only one with a good battery?

I see all these post about bad battery life and for me I am VERY happy with mine. Coming from a Treo 700wx and a Q my iPhone runs circles around their battery life. I use the iPod at work to listen to podcast, make a good bit of phone calls, browse the web on breaks and I'm still only at around 50% when I leave work. My other phones were hitting the car charger on the way home but not my iPhone. Days use out of the battery with no problems.

I get good usage out of my battery. I am charging about every other day and usage includes watching several TV shows, a lot of wifi browsing and email, and 1-2 hours of talk time every day.

No, a decent amout of people on here have said their battery lives are solid.

A few even say their battery lives are very good.

Wish I got that kind of battery! :D

Awww thought I was a lucky one :D Glad to hear someone else is getting great life.

Also guess it is going to be determined on how good your coverage is. That helps.

i think it really depends on the usage. when i'm browsing the internet, the battery drains pretty quickly, getting roughly four hours of browsing plus calls and standby and music. when i'm not browsing, the battery seems to last forever, even with music. overall i'm pretty happy.

I have not charged my battery since Sunday night and I still have more than 50% - I have used it a couple hours every day for different things (1 hour of talking all the rest, Safari, Google, Contacts and iPod). Im incredibly happy with the battery life. My previous phone never made it through the day without a charge.

i think my iphone could really last a few days off one charge, but i try to find every excuse to use it. i often find myself browsing these forums on the iphone when i'm sitting right in front of my computer. i charge my phone roughly once every 1.5 days, twice in three days for the decimal-illiterate.

The batter on my iPhone is infinitely better than the battery on the Motorola Q which is what I am coming from. The standard battery on the Q wouldn't even last an entire day, pathetic. I couldn't be happier.

I get a good day out of it, that is including at work when I am in the clean room which is copper lined to prevent RF signals. The phone roams for service the whole time I am in there (I don't turn it off), my time in the clean room varies day to day, but I still get the days worth which is good in my book.

Today was probably the closest I got down to it, after not charging last night. I use my phone a lot, and two full days of use can usually get me down to 10% or so left.

If I charge it every night, then there is no chance of me running out.

I feel that people transitioning from a regular cell phone to the iphone would complain about battery. Regular cell phone users are used to going 3+ days easy without having to recharge.

What these people need to realize are that smartphones is not your regular plain ol' cell phone. They do so much more, thus require so much more battery. People transitioning from another smartphone appreciate the battery life on the iphone much more.

I'm coming from the VX6700... and I manually had to turn on/off the wifi when used. If I didn't, the phone would only last half the day. I also had to increase my gmail pull to once/hour. Initially, I set it to every 15 mins, which would easily kill the battery by the time I'm leaving work.

I stressed my iphone one day to make sure I can go a whole day w/o having to charge, and the test passed easily. I left wifi & bluetooth on, I had my gmail pull at every 15mins, I listened to music while I worked (approx 8 hours)... and in my spare time, I surfed the web, watched you tube or ipod videos. My phone usage was my average daily phone usage. Anyways, my iphone easily survived the day!!! This was my biggest concern before purchase and I'm so happy that it performs so well.

On my average use, though, I'm recharging every other day. I can probably go one more day w/o a charge, but I like to be safe and make sure i have enough juice in case I have an unexpected long phone call conversation.

My battery almost never gets below 50% during the day. I work from 6am-7pm most days with a lot of calls. Put it on the cradle at night and Voila another great day awaits with my iPhone.

All day ipod use (around 8 hours) and the ocasional call (30minutes or so) puts me at around 85% at the end of the day.

I think I could go for a few days like this ...

I charged my RAZR every night because I pretty much had to. It would last for more than 1 day but not for two full days. I'm charging my iPhone every night as well, but I'm using it a lot more than I ever used my RAZR. I'm perfectly happy with my iPhone's battery life.

Man O Man, I wish!

I unplug mine around 9am and am lucky to get to 4pm with it being over 10% if not dead.

I use my on/off all day but nothing that should kill it so shortly.

What are you doing most of the time? As another poster has said, internet usage seems to use up battery life much more than phone or iPod use. I just watched two movies on a long plane flight, listened to music and had over 50% battery life. When I landed and started using the internet, it seemed to go down much more quickly.

I use the internet on/off during the day. Some days I use the internet 2 hours total....other days maybe 1 hour at most.

Send a few text messages....make some calls...

Nothing major, imo.

Some days my battery is GREAT...others its terrible. Same usage everyday, imo.

Maybe my battery just doesn't like me :D

I'm just curious about something, I just read on the apple forums that some people thing it is yahoo/pusht that is draining the battery a lot quicker, just want to see if everyone getting awesome battery life are using gmail or yahoo/push, thanks.

i wanted to see how long i could go.

i got a little over 6 hours of usage + 2.5 days of standby time and was down to 10% today.

usage was atypical in many ways as the phone is still in "oh cool, can i see that mode"... so i'd say at least one you tube over edge, half a dozen songs started, stopped and played through the speaked. a few hours of talk time through the speaker and boatloads of web browsing/email.

i'd really like to try out apple's purported battery life claims, but i'm having too much fun actually using it :) so it doesn't really matter.

For those not getting the FULL radio active battery glow, I found turning the phone off and turning it back fixes the problem. Apple prob just needs a patch to make the battery meter more acurate

Great battery as well!

I work a 9-11 hour shift usually. I'm a a manger at a martini bar/nightclub.
Besides using it for calls, I tend to use Edge or iPod functions for 10 minutes every hour or so. I'll listen to music during club opening and losing and on the walk out.

My battery has never gotten lower than 50% and usually never hits 60%.

I am blown away by the battery life. And I just started using Bluetooth, and have seen no noticeable effect on battery life.

And since I restored the iPhone, before I added custom ringtones, I find the overall software stability to be greater as well.
