that has a major problem where you keep accidentally activating dictation in iMessages? The beeping sound it makes (even in silent mode) is horrendous.

If I put my iPhone down while in iMessages, if I go near it, dictation activates.

Try restarting your iPhone and see if this rectifies it. Never heard of this before.

Check your Settings>General>Keyboard, disable/enable dictation at the very bottom.

Sounds like that Raise to Listen feature in Settings -> Messages.

I’m the same. My right palm frequently activates dictation by mistake. I can’t really turn off dictation in settings as it deactivated dictation on Apple Watch as well.
