Hi there. I was just wondering if there was any way I could get my AM/PM option to be enabled in the system preferences, for a while now its been greyed out, in fact I don't know of any time it hasn't been greyed out to be honest!

I'm using a MacBook (White, 2007 series) with leopard 5.5 installed.

You may have your location (in International) set so that it does not display a format that accepts the AM/PM concept.

It depends on the region you are in. Check in International to see if any of the time formats include it. If not, you can add it, then it should appear in the Date & Time Pane. I have had to do this because I use the 24hr clock, but need to be reminded, so I have had to add Hrs. to it, and get it to be displayed in menubar.

Thanks to all of you this helped and now I have set up a custom region I can see the am/pm marker thanks! 🙂
