I've had my 8 plus for 3 days now after coming from a note 8. I'm a very heavy user and battery on screen time coming in at 10 hours!
Will it stay this way?

It's not comparable to Android SOT. It's total usage: SOT + background activities. Other than that, battery is very good on 8 Plus, especially stand by time.

It's comparable to me when I had to charge my note 8 every day and average 4 hour ost
Pretty dire battery for a note

Amazing phone except for battery.
Found myself having to turn off all great features to save battery then when I started using iPad more to help out it was time to change.

Note has gorgeous screen but to get it guess what....more battery drain so found myself having to use lower resolution so not so gorgeous screen for me. If your happy to carry a power bank then worth checking the note out!

On other hand, my iPhone 6S battery dropped 20% in an hour. With instant messaging, video watching. And battery health reported as 100%. So it is not battery problem. I have exact opposite experience with OP. My Huawei Mate 10 excell on battery life

It could still be a battery or other hardware problem. It's not like that behaviour is normal.

I don’t know. Anyway.. I swapped my SIM card back to my Android phone.. it is all good now. I will probably trade in my iPhone 6S for one iPad Cellular one

What a thread. We need to rename this to the Android Battery Life thread. :p

My 6s+ had insane battery life. Asking about battery usage is comparing apples to oranges because some people will use the phone to game and others will use the phone to read books - one will get a lot longer battery life results than the other. Also, some may be in an area where they sit next to a cellular tower while someone else sits with 1 bar - again, both will see vast differences in battery life results. And again, someone like me in an office, I have brightness turned way down - versus someone who has brightness all the way up.

Just an FYI - comparing battery time can be apples to oranges. I can easily get 5 days on my 8+ with my usage (my work is a block from a Verizon tower). My wife usually ends her day with her 8+ at 30% but she uses her phone far more than I do (social media, chatting to friends, email for work, etc...).

The 8+ has insane battery life as well - being the + model it lasts a bit longer than the non+ model. Note 8 has great battery life - I've been impressed with what I've seen from coworkers who have it. Samsung has really perfected the standby battery life of these phones - though I've had a few complaints saying how they lost 50% of battery life overnight for no reason.
