Amazing Video Playing app: Movist (QT/VLC Alternative)

this looks like an impressive app. i hope it serves as a nice replacement to Plex (which i find to be a godsend compared to VLC/QT). it better be able to play 1080p rips from my original CD (shakes fist) haha..

I read this thread when it was first posted, and said "Meh... whatever"

Now today, I saw it on Macupdate, and thought "what the hell, I'll give it a try."

Wow! The raves here are spot on! This is a nice app.
 
One thing I can't seem to figure out, is how to move onto the next movie file in the queue using the apple remote and not the keyboard/mouse. Pressing or holding the fast forward button on the remote does just that: fast forwards.

anyone got any ideas?
 
It definitely plays HD content more smoothly than QT and VLC from what I can tell. I was really hoping it would play .MTS avchd files from my Canon HF100, but looks like no luck there.
 
God sent!

I've had to use Plex for my 1080p .MKV movies and absolutely hate the interface, large application size and start up and shut down time.

Finally a small app with the interface of QT and robustness of Plex.

I take it from the blog that the developers are Korean : )
