I am a big fan of apple as well, but find it hilarious coming here to read posts...More for pure amazement..I cannot believe how much emphasize as a society or collective group we put on a phone...Amazing really....People are actually concerned and calling apple to make sure the delivery date is truly on the 21st and not the ship date...People calling into work sick to be at home for UPS??? Last time I checked it was a phone that would operate the same as my current iphone exempt for some nice added features. Still will be able to check my mail, text messages and other features all the same way correct???
Makes me ponder about world events and how spoiled we have become. Kinda Sad when you think about people having much bigger problems than wether a new dock will link with there car...

I generally don't respond to troll posts but I guess my question is, if you are so concerned with society and its ills, what are you doing to change it? I have no doubt you're doing your part to make it better. (The above is a rhetorical question.)

On that note, there is absolutely nothing wrong with people enjoying what they enjoy. It's kind of the great thing about living in a 1st world country. Do some people go overboard? Definitely 10000% some do.

I just think posts/people like this who want to make broad sweeping generalizations are just as bad as the fanatical people who obsess about every tiny little feature or who care if it arrives on the day of release or day after. It's not going to change your life to get it 1 day later. It's also not hurting anyone to look forward to something you enjoy.

If someone likes iPhones. Great. If you prefer an Android or Samsung phone, I glad for you. Everyone is different. Not sure if you can see that from your high horse.

I tend to not get to excited about what others spend their time ot money on, the next thing you know we will be told what size cola we can buy.

Uh, too late :D.

And yeah, you know, we can be excited about this and still care about the world's problems. But how dare we get excited over a new "toy". Yes, it is a toy. But you know, OP, I'm sure you never get excited over something that doesn't involve solving the world's problems (actually I bet you do you just feel too foolish to actually express it. Some of us don't care and like to show that we are excited about stuff. Get over it).
