Ok, I'm a big fan of Amazon's MP3 service (see my previous posts), but I do have to comment on this. Please explain to me how iTunes has "a ridiculous price?" Is $0.99 *really* a "ridiculous price?"

Let's bring this back down to some reality.

No, I'm talking about album prices on things that aren't necessarily that popular. And hell, even things that are popular. The Wall for instance. $8.99 at Amazon. $25.74 + tax at iTunes.

Point taken, thanks for the clarification.

Not sure how this will work, but I do find this rather fascinating.

I've bought TV shows from iTunes - but never music. Didn't like the format, didn't like the DRM. That's why I stick with Amazon - and the little importer into iTunes is great!

What I'd really like is lossless DRM free downloads for .99 a pop then I'll buy more.

*shrugs* I no longer use iTMS for anything other then searching for content. I then go over to Amazon. In some cases it's not only cheaper but even though I'm really not a fan of MP3 it at least allows me to migrate off the iPod in the future if I want too.
Frankly I HATE Amazon's store. It's ability to just browse is virtually nonexistent, its layout looks like it was done by a 9 year old, and they don't have the buy 3 tracks of an album and if you then want to buy the rest you can deduct the tracks you purchased previously.
