I was recently watching Tin Star using the Amazon prime video app and noticed the audio was late.

I set the audio delay on my Denon AVR to 400ms and now the video/audio are in sync, obviously not ideal.

Turned off frame rate content matching and that ended up fixing the issue.

Has anyone else experienced this? I hope its something Amazon fixes soon.

Yep, audio sync is all over the place in the Amazon app, starts off OK then it can run out by as much as 1/2 a second and then just as fast it's OK again. Every other app on the aTV is fine, iTunes content, Plex, iPlayer, Netflix are all fine and the built in Amazon app on my Sony TV is fine as well, it's just the aTV's Amazon app that I have the problem with.

I have the exact same issue with my Denon AVR X2200W when watching something with the Amazon Prime Video-App in 5.1 with the AppleTV 4K. Interestingly enough I only bought the AppleTV 4K because I had the same problem with my Shield TV! On both devices it's only the Prime Video App that's not in sync when watching something with 5.1 while every other App like Netflix works just fine.
I'm seriously considering getting another AVR right now because of this. I'm not sure if it will help. After both ShieldTV and AppleTV 4K had this issue I was very certain that the Denon was to blame but if other people without AVRs have the problem as well, then buying a new AVR wouldn't solve anything...
