Just checking into pricing for Apple Care for my new refurb iMac 24". At Amazon the regular Apple Care for this machine is: "AppleCare Protection Plan MA520LL/A for iMac" and it goes for $137.24. But there's another iMac Apple Care also listed, as follows: "AppleCare Protection Plan for iMac/eMac M8851LL/B - 3 Years" This goes for $72.26 (+S/H $4.99) and is sold through Amazon by Tech for Less, which has a high satisfaction rating. Anyone know any reason why the older, cheaper Apple Care wouldn't be a good idea? Wouldn't it still extend protection on my mac once I register? Or is there something in the serial numbers that would bump me out of range for this lower-cost Apple Care? Thoughts, please.
