Following in the footsteps of a discount on the 9th generation iPad yesterday, Amazon today has an all-time low price on the 10th generation iPad. You can get the 64GB Wi-Fi tablet for $299.00 in Blue and Silver, down from $349.00.

Amazon provides an estimated September 10 - 12 delivery estimate for most orders placed in the United States. Right now we're only tracking record low prices on the 64GB Wi-Fi model, but you can find a few solid second-best prices on the other configurations as well.

This iPad launched in October 2022 and was completely redesigned compared to the 9th generation model. It features a larger 10.9-inch display, USB-C port, A14 Bionic chip, 12-megapixel camera, Touch ID, and more.

I have an iPad 10 (64GB) that I bought late-2022 for a little over $400, so I have almost 2 years use with it under my belt. Paired with the Apple Pencil USBC, it is fine as a basic tablet for casual computing, note taking, and annotating documents. It also makes a nice mobile second screen to use with your MacBook. For $299, it is a pretty good deal. I do wonder if Apple will release spec bump this fall. In which case, you might be better off waiting even if you have to pay the full retail price of $349.

Not good enough. The 11th gen debuts next month then what will the price be on these as they get blown out? I am betting $199 Black Friday.
Already can get 10th gen "like new - open box" for $249 on Amazon. Each of my daughters got a new one last Chanukah. Finally all USB-C devices.

Given Apple Intelligence is a focus of the upcoming Sept 9 event, I expect that they'll at least bump the iPad specs to support AI. They're selling 13" M1 MacBook Airs for $649 at Walmart now.

Even at $349, a 10" iPad could probably get the M1 chip (considering Apple's Magic Keyboard is $299... equivalent total price to a 13" M1 MacBook Air)

I would love to see Apple put the M1 in their base iPad. But if Apple did that, they wouldn’t be able to withhold Stage Manager and AI features to differentiate and up-sell to the Air and Pro……so, I am a little skeptical. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

It will happen at some point, but maybe not the next update…..we will see.

The only apple device I own where the UI just does not run very smoothly on. Really needs a better processor.
